I'd just like to point everyone to a peice of material that really changed my perspective on what it is to make a video game. It will teach you the importance of everything there is to a video game. From making a succesfull charecter to good level design and general tips that will turn your little project into something lots of people will want to play. It's only $34.99, and it's very worth it, not only will it help you make better games, but it'll help you to make a career of it too!
Only $34.99!

I really reccomend buying it, and if you do buy it, you're supporting Stikmansoftware!

I can't believe it, I only took 1 hour and 20 minutes instead of 2 hours like I should have! So rest assured, blitz3.c could have been loads better, but I only took 80 minutes! Not bad for 80 minutes if I do say so myself. I would have added particle effects, a main menu, and baddies that shoot if I had realized that I had more time. Damnit!

Just for fun, I made a couple of quick games for the blitz hack exersies. These are not great creations, but instead, they were created with extremely limited time. Blitz1.c was made in 45 minutes flat, (I just barely finished it on time) and Blitz3.c was created in 120 minutes flat (yes, I just barely finished this one too).
To compile: (requires Allegro)
Windows/Dos with gcc, type "gcc -o blitz1.exe blitz1.c -lalleg"
Linux/Unix with gcc, type "gcc -o blitz1 blitz1.c `allegro-config --libs` "
(' being a backtick not a apotraphe) Thanks for visiting my page!

It seems I made an error! I deleted a large comment that explained the scope and design of my project "tankit." Now Tankit is not a huge project, instead it was rather a test program; Due to that fact I borrowed models from one of my favorite video games, BZFlag, which was clearly stated in the source codes main.c file with a big ol' link the BZFlag official homepage. I deleted that comment by mistake, so much credit to the BZFlag project, which you can find at http://www.bzflag.org/!

The Donkey Lab, BZFlag's prestigiouse community portal, has now opened back up to the public! At the Donkey Lab we want to make BZFlag a funner game, not by programming, but by true game spirit: The atmosphere and the competitors. Friendly, sportsmanship, and over all Not Lame Quality. Enjoy, just look for The Donkey Lab!

Well, as you may have noticed, Mary Jane is still not available. I'm sorry, but a man can only do what he feels up to doing. No no, I'm not ditching the project, that's the best way of never getting anything done, and I've had my experience with those days, trust me, they're long gone. Nope, it's just that I got board with it, and when you're board, quality lacks. I think I will start up again sometime in the new year, there are lots of goodies in store, so check back soon and things will be looking up for good ol' Mary Jane. Thanks

Whoah Ho! It's been a long time, major changes comming soon. Maryjane and The Radioactive Grow Op, my latest and greatest video game. Featuring original art by Pong Arocena, Original Music and Sound FX By Daniel McKinnon(me). This game is a whole new dimension to the video games we make here at Stikman Software. It is a well rounded game, unlike others, that is a very exiting project. It includes everything you should expect from a video game, including Humor about Ditsy-Blonde Potheads. (was that too narrow?) Due November 28th. Anyways, I have just completed making a Web User Interface for my favorite Video Game In the whole wide world, BZFlag. You can find BZWebFace Here . And remember to join the best server, The Donkey Lab, whenever you can! Enjoy

I'd just like to direct everybodies attention to a most excelent project called z88dk. It's a C compiler for the z80 family of computers including the Ti83+ graphing calculator! It's project webpage can be found at http://z88dk.sourceforge.net/ I have also made a sprite editor that automatically generates code for your sprites.

Tank It! v0.9 Wingdowz Binaries Now Available! Thanks to Troy Patterson (aka Perfect Wanderer) You can find his webpage at http://troy.allegronetwork.com
January 21, 2002
Tank It! v0.9 includes customizable controls, with keyboard or mouse support, joystick and gamepad support will be available in v1.0. Plus included in v0.9 are featres such as saving game configurations, and auto-saved controlls. I still need someone to compile v0.9 Wingblowz Binaries. Special Thanks to Troy (Perfect Wanderer) for porting v0.7. His webpages is at http://troy.allegronetwork.com I also need someone to make joystick and gamepad support seeing as though all I have is a 2-button joystick from the 80s. I rekon that this job would be rather simple, so if you're interested please E-Mail me and I'll tell you how to do it. I believe the code is still 100% portable.

Lots of hits! I'm very supprised at the amount of attention my site has been getting recently. I would like to thank Adrian, (spelled his name wrong last time, sorry!), for his ports to windows, unfortunetly I couldn't use them due to a Microscoft Licence agreement (why don't I use that other OS again?). I would also like to thank Troy as well for porting Tank It! The Tank It! Windows Binaries are now available for download. but v1.0, which will include such features as 4-player controlls, gamepad and joystick support, and tons of game-modes (preset settings that people like most), will be available in less than one months time.

I would just like to thank everyone who has come to my webpage. I would also like to give a special thanks to Adrian for porting some of my software to Windows, and Johan Peitz (http://freelunchdesign.com/) for letting me port Icy Towers, one of the best freeware games ever.
